With the devastation in the Philippines just coming into focus and our region’s strong connection to the Filipino people, many here are asking, “What can I do?”

Currently, the best way to aid and support the victims of Typhoon Haiyan, is with a financial donation. Here is a list of organizations that are involved in the emergency relief efforts.

To donate through UNICEF: unicefusa.org or call 800-367-5437 or text RELIEF to 8644233.

To donate through Red Cross: redcross.org; contact the Capital Region chapter at 916-993-7070.

To donate through the Salvation Army relief fund: salvationarmyusa.org.
