Tri Counties Bank parent sees year-over-year quarterly gains

Chico-based TriCo Bancshares, which operates about a dozen Tri Counties Bank branches in the Sacramento region, reported net income of $7.36 million, or 45 cents per share, in the third quarter ended Sept. 30.

That was up from about $5 million, or 31 cents a share, in the year-ago period.

Total assets increased $116,625,000, or 4.6 percent year over year, to $2,632,106,000 as of Sept. 30.

The bank said it saw annual increases in loans and deposits, plus a reduction in monies reserved for loan losses.
