A new 99 Cents Only deep-discount store will open at 8 a.m. Thursday in Roseville, with the first nine people in line eligible to buy Westinghouse 40-inch flat-screen TVs for 99 cents.

The approximately 14,000-square-foot store at 10261 Fairway Drive – just northeast of Highway 65 and Pleasant Grove Boulevard – will feature a perishable food department, including produce, dairy and frozen foods.

Store officials said people in line by 7:45 a.m. on Thursday will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a 10th Westinghouse flat-screen television. After the TV offers are filled, the next 99 customers in line can purchase a scooter for 99 cents. Other offers will be spread out over a week’s time.

Founded in 1982, Commerce-based 99 Cents Only operates more than 330 discount stores, more than two-thirds of those in California.
