Re "Too many school kids don't get glasses they need" (Editorials, Nov. 20): Many parents and teachers want to see these children succeed, but sometimes are unable to provide them with the proper tools and care they need. Parents may be too busy trying to keep their family afloat by working several jobs, or they may lack a reliable source of transportation. Austin Beutner is benefiting many children and their families by funding the nonprofit Vision to Learn. Beause of the program, children no longer have to suffer, nor do they have to feel incapable as they approach their school work. Having the tools children need, such as eyeglasses, will make a significant positive impact on their grades.
