El Dorado Hills businessman Peter Van Deventer has been appointed chairman of the Sacramento Regional Technology Alliance board of directors.
Van Deventer is the co-founder and managing partner of Integrity Global Management, a business consulting firm. In 2006, he co-founded SynapSense Corp., the Folsom-based data center management firm.
Van Deventer succeeds Christopher Obmann, managing partner with Ernst & Young LLP, who has served as SARTA board chair for the past two years.
“SARTA is a great organization that has traditionally been focused on technology industry awareness in the Sacramento region. A major objective in 2014 and beyond will be to transition our focus to technology industry enablement,” Van Deventer said in a statement. “We want to provide the forums, events and relationships that will enable technology companies of all sizes to grow and prosper in this region.”
Van Deventer also currently serves as board chairman of Easter Seals Superior California serving Northern California, and is a board member of the Northern California World Trade Center and the Engineering Translational Technology Center at the University of California, Davis.
