Longtime Citrus Heights retailer closing

Published: Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013 - 5:53 pm

Organize It, a 25-year-old Citrus Heights retailer, said Tuesday it will close its doors next month.

The Sunrise Boulevard store, which sells shelving and storage products, will survive as a cyber-retailer at www.organizeworld.com.

The brick-and-mortar store announced its closure more than four years ago, but owner Chuck Pattillo said the liquidation sales generated so much interest that he decided to keep the location open. Now, however, he said the sluggish economy means the end is coming Jan. 5.

“Business just isn’t that great,” he said. “I don’t think things are getting much better.”
