Trucking industry veteran Shawn Yadon is the new CEO of the Sacramento-based California Trucking Association, which bills itself as the nation’s largest state trucking association.
Yadon was chosen after a six-month nationwide search and will assume his duties Jan. 2, succeeding Mike Campbell, who is retiring Dec. 30 after eight years as CTA’s CEO.
Yadon comes to CTA following seven years with global vehicle reseller Copart Inc., where he established and led the government and corporate affairs programs as Copart’s vice president of corporate affairs. Prior to that, he spent six years leading state government affairs for E*Trade Financial.
He spent 19 years with FedEx, including 11 years as the company’s chief government affairs representative in the western United States.
His undergraduate degree in business administration was earned at California State University, Sacramento.
