Brighten your nights at these festive addresses

N eighbors who have hoisted ladders and battled tangled wires now hope total strangers delight in the outcome.

Of course, we’re talking about Christmas lighting, which lures us out of our homes to ogle the designs of others.

The experts say to expect even more LED lights this year as homeowners replace old strings of bulbs with the energy-savers and add elements such as snowflakes, lighted globes and icicle lights. Wrapped tree trunks allow easy decoration of trees that don’t shed leaves. Ribbons and ornaments join greenery as eye-candy for daytime. And inflatables do duty day or night.

Whatever your taste in outdoor decorations, here are addresses Bee readers have put on the not-to-miss list. You can find an interactive map at sacbee.com/holidaylights.
