A motorist who was hit and killed when he got out of his car following a crash on Interstate 80 near Madison Avenue has been identified as Jabbar Ernest Dwight Baker by the Sacramento County Coroner’s deputies.
The California Highway Patrol said Baker, 36, of Oakland, was driving his Toyota Camry on eastbound Interstate 80 west of Madison Avenue about 4:30 a.m. Wednesday when his car struck the rear of a big rig.
The car then traveled into the center divider where it struck a concrete wall. Baker then got out of his car and began to cross the freeway toward the right shoulder.
He was struck by four vehicles and died at the scene from his injuries.
