Victim of Citrus Heights homicide identified

The man stabbed to death Tuesday afternoon in Citrus Heights has been identified as 18-year-old Wade Isaiah Shingu.

At 4:21 p.m. Tuesday, Citrus Heights police responded to a report of a stabbing in the 7500 block of Auburn Boulevard. When officers arrived, they found Shingu inside a vehicle, bleeding from an apparent stabbing.

Shingu was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The case is being investigated as a homicide.
