Carpe Vino in Old Town Auburn has made two of Open Table’s “best of” lists three years running.

Open Table names top 100 restaurants

Published: Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013 - 12:00 pm

Open Table, the free-to-diners online restaurant-reservations site, collected 5 million “restaurant reviews” from “verified Open Table diners” to assemble its Diners’ Choice Awards for the Top 100 Best Restaurants in America. Thirty states and the District of Columbia are represented.

Among the top 10 are three in California: St. Francis Winery & Vineyards in Santa Rosa (No. 1; www.stfranciswinery.com), n/naka in Los Angeles (No. 3; n-naka.com) and The French Laundry in Yountville (No. 9; www.frenchlaundry.com).

Among the remaining 90 (listed alphabetically) are 11 more from our state, including The Kitchen in Sacramento ( www.thekitchenrestaurant.com), Carpe Vino in Auburn ( www.carpevinoauburn.com) and four in San Francisco.

For the complete list, go to www.opentable.com/sacramento-restaurants and click on “The Open Table Blog: Dining Check.”

Note that Carpe Vino is one of only two restaurants that have made the Top 100 Best Restaurants and the Top 100 Restaurant Wine Lists three years in a row. The other is Artisanal in North Carolina.
