With Christmas closing in, Saturday was the perfect time for Santa Claus to make his return to Sacramento.

The annual Santa Parade, which supports the Five Gold Rings foundation for local children’s arts programs, included floats, marching bands, clowns, youth groups and horses.

Kercy Adler-Resnick of Rocklin, aka Mrs. Claus, was one of the stars of the show, riding in an antique car with her jolly old husband.

Organizers expected more than 25,000 people to attend the parade, which started at 13th and N streets, went west to Ninth, north to L and finally west to Fourth Street.
