Published: Monday, Dec. 16, 2013 - 4:54 pm

Kenneth Stringfellow, 24, faces murder charges following the death of a toddler at his Quincy residence.

Plumas County Sheriff Department deputies responded Thursday to a report of a child who was unresponsive at Stringfellow’s Peppard Flat Road apartment, said Sheriff Greg Hagwood.

Stringfellow was arrested for felony child abuse.

When the toddler died on Friday at a Reno hospital, Stringfellow was re-booked on a charge of homicide. His bail was doubled to $1 million, Hagwood said.

He is with holding the victim’s name and injury information due to age and the ongoing investigation.
