Two dealerships under the locally based Future Automotive Group are donating a combined $20,000 to two area organizations this week.

Future Ford Lincoln of Roseville on Tuesday will donate $10,000 to support Stand Up Placer, an organization that aims to protect victims of violence.

Stand Up Placer’s Auburn roots date back to 1974, when it started as a volunteer rape crisis hotline. In 1979, it became the Placer Women’s Center to reflect its commitment to aiding all of Placer County’s battered women in finding refuge at private homes.

Today, Stand Up Placer oversees a “safe house” emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence or sexual assault, a 24-hour crisis line, two different types of response teams and other supportive services. See more details at www.standupplacer.org.

Future Ford of Sacramento, at Madison Avenue and Interstate 80, on Thursday will present a $10,000 check to the Sacramento Children’s Home.

Established in 1867, the Sacramento Children’s Home has numerous programs dedicated to ending child abuse and protecting vulnerable children and families. For more details, see www.kidshome.org.
