Re "Obama makes wealth an issue" (Page A1, Dec. 5): After recently rubbing elbows with his millionaire buddies in Hollywood and gladly taking their money to fill democratic campaign coffers, President Barack Obama has gone back to the business of class warfare. According to the president, the definitive challenge of our time is making sure the economy works for everybody. While the president is terrific at making noble statements, he's not so good at getting results. He believes the solution is for the federal government to use its ever-increasing control and regulations to transfer wealth from one group to another. After five years, how has that worked out for him and the downtrodden in our society? The answer is a simple lesson that our president and his class haven't accepted. He wants to continue handing out the fish, instead of teaching people how to fish.
