Sacramento County sheriff’s detectives are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect who pulled a gun on a loss prevention officer at Safeway.

The loss prevention officer had seen the suspect shoplift from the Dewey Boulevard store about 11:40 p.m. Friday, according to sheriff’s Sgt. Lisa Bowman.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 20s, about 5 feet 6 inches tall with a thin build. He was unshaven, wearing a black jacket and driving a white Chevrolet Impala with a flat tire, according to the Sheriff’s Department. His left ear might be pierced.

Anyone with information about this suspect is asked to call robbery detectives at (916) 874-5195 or the department tipline at (916) 874-8477.
