Sacramento will continue to see mild temperatures and dry weather for the next couple of days.
Today’s high temperature is expected to hit 61 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Light winds in the afternoon will average between 10-15 mph.
“We’re quite above normal,” said weather service forecaster Eric Kurth of the unseasonably high temperatures. “It’s up 10 degrees for this time of year.”
The dry spell will continue next week, setting the capital city up for possibly the driest calendar year on record.
Sacramento has received 6.11 inches of rain so far this year, according to Kurth. The driest year recorded was 1926 when the city had 6.67 inches.
