Re "GOP confronts reform fiasco" (Letters, Dec. 14): The GOP is responsible for much of the problem. States controlled by GOP governors have refused to implement this law in their states, even though that would give states more control of implementation. This forced the federal government to accommodate far more applicants for health care. The useless House of Representatives, controlled by the GOP, underfunded the implementation in the first place. Many of us are already seeing the benefits of this law. As for the federal health care computer system's rollout problems, how many people have been involved with implementation of a new computer data system? I have. There are always problems. The GOP has been lying about the Affordable Care Act law to destroy it, without giving any alternative. Finally, health care insurance changes every year. Rates go up, and packages of services are not continued. Too much is being made of people losing insurance, especially when that insurance may well be grossly inadequate coverage.
