Accomplishment: Helping the economically disadvantaged of Sacramento

Details: The students donated more than 5,500 nonperishable food items to Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services and 175 new presents to children at the Oak Park Christmas Festival.

Toy Project

Accomplishment: Along with Salvation Army, distributed toys, bicycles and meals to more than 2,000 families

Details: In addition to brightening the season for families, the program provides character-building for offenders who work with deputies to help people in times of need.

Kudos to: Sacramento Police Department

and Target Corporation

Accomplishment: Conducted shopping spree for children

Details: Officers accompanied 27 children on a shopping spree at a Target store. Each child received $120 to buy gifts for themselves or others.
