Bullet ricochets off Fresno deputy's pocket knife, avoiding injury

A knife in a pants pocket deflected a bullet that would have injured a Fresno County sheriff's deputy Sunday night who was responding to a shots-fired call, Lt. Gregg Andreotti said.

Andreotti said the bullet ricocheted off the knife the deputy keeps in his pocket, leaving only a bruise.
