Miami will be without star shooting guard Dwyane Wade tonight against the Kings because of knee soreness.

Miami will be without Dwyane Wade (knee soreness), Ray Allen (knee soreness) and Chris Andersen (body soreness).

Roger Mason will start for Wade.

The decision to sit them was not about disrespecting the Kings or looking forward to tomorrow night’s game at Portland.

“We felt they couldn’t go tonight,” said Heat coach Erik Spoelstra. “Bird (Andersen) is really laboring. He’s taken some hard falls and you watch those on film his whole body started to shut down because of that and he was moving gingerly today.”

*No Wade gives Ben McLemore a little bit of a break defensively, but could lead to Michael Beasley seeing more time. Beasley has the talent to exploit the Kings’ defensive shortcomings by attacking the basket.

*Kings coach Michael Malone is concerned about turnovers, especially against the Heat. The Kings have struggled taking care of the ball lately. Rudy Gay had six in the loss to New Orleans on Monday.

Pre diction time: Miami is shorthanded, but they also have the NBA’s best player in LeBron James. So the Heat still has the advantage.

Miami 113, Kings 101

My record: 15-12
