Re "Assembly GOP will keep health site" (Another View, Dec. 10): Connie Conway's column is, at best, disingenuous and, at worst, a disservice to all Californians. Rather than providing valuable information for helping more Californians to get quality health care, it once again highlights a small number of largely anecdotal experiences as facts and deficits of the system. There certainly are people who are facing increased costs, but their number is exaggerated by Republicans trying to sway opinion to ensure that the Affordable Care Act fails. Even Conway's choice of words, citing people's "obligations," for example, rather than the real and potential benefits of the law, clearly demonstrate her partisanship. No one questions her right to free speech, only her right to disguise it as something it's not. If those are Conway's opinions, she should have the integrity to admit that and not pretend she is doing us all a favor by selectively reporting and spinning so-called facts.
