Re "Free speech is protected, not TV gigs" (Viewpoints, Jan. 1): How can writer William Endicott say that right-wingers rush to embrace ignorance and intolerance when he apparently has no problem with left-winged media people, such as commentator Melissa Harris-Perry or outspoken minister Al Sharpton? If he wanted to be fair and balanced, why didnt he comment on the intolerance and ignorance of those lefties? Endicott seems to be picking and choosing his own default scripture. The problem is that the left wants tolerance for their beliefs but then say those that they disagree with are homophobic, racist or radical, right-winged Christians. Leftists demand that we abide by their beliefs or hit the highway.
