Auburn-based Flyers Energy acquires Nevada fuel distributor

Auburn-based Flyers Energy LLC says it has acquired the assets of Allied Washoe Petroleum, a fuel distributor based in Reno.

Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Flyers distributes wholesale and branded retail fuel, commercial lubricants, renewable fuels and solar power nationwide. The company said it extended employment offers to a “majority” of Allied Washoe workers and is looking to add additioinal sales people, drivers and office staff.

In a media release, privately-owned Flyers said it is “on a campaign to expand (its) holdings” throughout the western United States. Flyers said it is looking for additional acquisitions in California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah and Arizona.

Flyers is the marketer for more than 100 Chevron, Shell, Valero and 76 branded stations and offers commercial fueling at 230,000 retail gas stations via its Flyers Fleet Card.
