KINGS (10-21) VS. BOBCATS (14-20)
• Time: 7 p.m.
• Where: Sleep Train Arena
• TV/radio: CSNCA, 1140
• 1. Early defense: The Kings cannot wait until the second quarter to start playing defense like they did in Charlotte, N.C., when they never recovered from an early deficit and lost to the Bobcats. Giving up 35 points in the first quarter to a team that usually struggles to score isnt a good way to start a game.
• 2. Ball security: The Kings, who have 20 or more turnovers in three of their last five games, dont want to give the Bobcats easy scoring opportunities off turnovers. They cannot dribble into trouble and lose the ball or be careless with their passes.
• 3. Boogie on the court: Foul trouble limited DeMarcus Cousins to 28 minutes in Thursdays loss to Philadelphia, but he still had 33 points and 14 rebounds. If Cousins can play 35-plus minutes, he should be able draw a lot of fouls, as he did against the 76ers.
