U.S. Airways will start nonstop service between Sacramento and Charlotte, N.C., this year in March, two months earlier than the airline’s usual seasonal service between the two cities, according to officials at Sacramento International Airport.

The flights offer Sacramento travelers one-stop connections to vacation destinations in the Caribbean and the Virgin Islands, as well as to Europe and South America.

The airline will offer limited service from March 2 to May 21, then will expand to daily service.
