Re "Don't let progress in Afghanistan go without a fight" (Editorials, Jan. 4): The editorial regarding our presence in Afghanistan is curiously riddled with reasons to withdraw U.S. troops. The editorial says Americans are weary of the war and that our country has been fighting there for more than 12 years. Both are good reasons to get our troops out of that war. Other reasons why the United States should no longer be fighting in Afghanistan: Conventional armies do not fare well there, and our troops no longer feel their commander-in-chief has their back, as was shown in Benghazi. Clearly, it's time to bring our troops home.
