Dark or light meat depends on taste buds

Re "Boneless, skinless chicken breast rules - but why?" (Forum, Views on food, Jan. 5): I read with some amusement the article touting the superior flavor of dark chicken meat. I am sure the author is indeed annoyed by the favor given white meat, despite the fact that it remains much more expensive. While I’m not a meat lover, and I occasionally toy with the idea of being a vegetarian, I still eat meat. Since my childhood when my family subsisted mostly on roasted whole chicken, I have always favored the breast. Taste is a subjective quality, so, to each his own. In the meantime, dark meat lovers can appreciate those lower prices.
