Sacramento police seek witnesses to confrontation that left woman injured

Sacramento police are seeking witnesses to a confrontation that occurred last month in the 1000 block of Florin Road and left one person seriously injured.

About 10:54 a.m. Dec. 18, officers in the area of Nugget Market were hailed by a witness who reported that an individual was on the ground and injured. Officers learned there had been a dispute that resulted in a woman falling and requiring medical attention. Upon further investigation, they discovered that the incident stemmed from a sales transaction at Ambrosia Nails. The victim, an employee at the nail salon, is believed to have confronted a customer regarding a dispute over payment.

The customer involved in the confrontation remained at the scene and was contacted by police the day of the incident.

Police said the 61-year-old victim remains hospitalized with serious injuries.

Detectives are seeking information from anyone who may have been in the area and witnessed the confrontation. Anyone with information pertaining to the incident is asked to call the Police Department’s dispatch center at (916) 264-5471 or Crime Alert at (916) 443-4357, or text a tip to 274637.
