Awake for winter: Tahoe bears not hibernating; one hits Heavenly slopes

Published: Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014 - 6:46 am

Skiers participating in a race saw a bear amble across the slopes and disappear into woods without incident at Heavenly Mountain Resort on Friday.
