Corey Hawkins scored 22 points and Ryan Sypkens added all of his 15 points in the second half to lead UC Davis to a 69-61 victory over Cal State Fullerton on Saturday night at the Pavilion.
The Aggies (6-13, 1-3 Big West Conference) shot 47.9 percent from the field, with Iggy Nujic scoring 10 points.
Cal State Fullerton (6-11, 1-2) outrebounded UC Davis 41-28 but was held to 37.9 percent shooting from the field and went just 3 of 21 from 3-point range.
Sac State 75, Eastern Washington 64 at The Nest – Dylan Garrity scored 18 points and Zach Mills 17 to lead the Hornets over the Eagles.
Sac State (6-9, 2-4 Big Sky Conference) opened a 38-28 late in the first half and never trailed the Eagles (7-10, 2-4) again, leading by as much as 20 points in the second half.
UC Davis 69, Cal State Fullerton 67 (OT) in Fullerton – Molly Greubel drew a charge on an inbound play with five-tenths of a second left and calmly sank two free throws to force overtime, then junior Sydnee Fipps scored the go-ahead basket with 25 seconds remaining in the extra period as the Aggies beat the Titans (6-10, 2-1 Big West).
UCD (8-9, 3-1) won its season-best third straight game. Fipps and Alyson Doherty finished with 15 points apiece.
Eastern Washington 78, Sac State 65 in Cheney, Wash. – The Hornets shot just 6 of 29 (20.7 percent) from 3-point range and were held to a season-low 65 points, 27 below their season average, for their third consecutive loss after opening the season with an 11-1 record.
Sac State (11-4, 3-3 Big Sky) made just six 3-pointers for the second consecutive game after starting the week first in the NCAA with 14.4 3-pointers made per game.
Junior Shanti Smith led the Hornets with 17 points.
