Re 3 admit to assault before girl's suicide (Page A4, Jan. 16): I was outraged after reading about the sentences for the three teenage boys who sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl. The girl committed suicide after photographs of her assault were circulated among her classmates. After admitting to the assault and having the photos, both considered felonies, the two 16-year-olds were sentenced to serve 30 days, during weekends, and the 17-year-old was sentenced to serve 45 consecutive days. How can these sentences be considered adequate punishment when they ruined that poor girls life and the lives of her family?
