Derrick Williams was involved in a pivotal play with 15.1 seconds to play in regulation of what became a 116-111 overtime loss to the Indiana Pacers at Sleep Train Arena.

He was called for a foul on Paul George, who made a three pointer with the Kings leading 103-99. George’s free throw tied the game and the Pacers pulled away in overtime.

Here is Williams’ take on the play:

“I thought they called the grab. I didn’t see if he was in the shooting motion, I haven’t seen the replay yet. I really can’t say too much, (the official) called it, he made a tough shot. The one thing I didn’t want to do is foul him in his shooting motion, that’s all I can say. It’s over with now.”

George, of course, saw it differently:

“That’s a play that we draw up to come off a quick screen for a three. I practice shooting off-balance shots so I felt comfortable. It felt good when I released. I’m fortunate the ref saw (the foul).”

*Five pacers scored in double figures. The Kings weren’t able to get much offense from anyone other than Marcus Thornton (42 points) and Isaiah Thomas (38 points). Both matched their career highs in the loss.

*Thornton and Thomas combined to shoot 29 for 58. The rest of the Kings shot 14 for 43.

*The Kings managed only 14 assists in the game, only one in overtime.

*The Kings shot 17 for 55 after halftime.
