VS. GRIZZLIES (23-20)
• Time: 7 p.m.
• Where: Sleep Train Arena
• TV/radio: CSNCA, 1140, 950
• 1. Ball pressure: Memphis’ Mike Conley is among the best defensive point guards in the NBA. He also can dictate the pace of the game with his offense. The Kings have to be careful with the ball and must try to make Conley uncomfortable when he has it.
• 2. Patience on offense: The Grizzlies are among the best defensive teams in the NBA. If the Kings settle for quick contested shots, they are playing exactly how the Grizzlies prefer. Sacramento has to move the ball, force Memphis to move on defense and find the best shot available.
• 3. Pick up the pace: Even if DeMarcus Cousins (ankle) or Rudy Gay (Achilles’) aren’t available, the Kings cannot get locked into a slow-paced game, which favors the Grizzlies. The Kings have won only once this season when failing to scoring 100 points.
