The Bee recently published an aerial view of Browns Ravine at Folsom Lake showing how this seasons drought has left the lake unusually low. Yet, judging by the number of lawns that are still being irrigated, apparently some people remain completely ignorant of the dire water situation in our state, despite all the stories that have run in The Bee. Perhaps if all of the local TV stations televised the drought news daily, and The Bee ran daily front-page photos showing Folsom Lake today and a year ago, the shocking difference might get peoples attention. People need to stop watering their lawns.
