Re "Wright shows why he must step down" (Editorials, Feb. 1): Despite being convicted of eight felonies by a jury of his peers , Sen. Rod Wright is allowed to stay in office collecting his salary. Who really cares if he is taken off whatever committee he was the chairman of?
Senate President Pro Tem Darrell Steinberg would have had his scalp if Wright was anything but a Democrat. This just goes to show the whole state of California and the United States that power corrupts and absolute power absolutely corrupts. It is time to clean the slate and vote out all incumbents.
