10 pressing questions in the world of sports

• The Super Bowl usually is the most-watched TV event of the year, but hasn’t the game become more about the parties, commercials and entertainment?

• What do you remember most about Super Bowl XXXVIII – who won the game (heck, who played in the game) or the halftime “wardrobe malfunction?”

• Speaking of the Super Bowl, which is the most memorable commercial: Mean Joe Greene/Coke (1979) or the introduction of the Apple Macintosh (1984)?

• If Denver beats Seattle, does Washington’s governor have to send some of his state’s finest sinsemilla plants to Colorado’s governor, who could send some of his Rocky Mountain High buds if the Broncos lose?

• The Kings’ DeMarcus Cousins leads all centers in scoring, so isn’t it absurd that he wasn’t selected as a reserve for the Western Conference team in the NBA All-Star Game?

• The Mavericks’ Dirk Nowitzki’s scoring average is lower than Cousins’, and he’s 35 years old, so why did he make the team again instead of Cousins?

• Everyone seems to be complaining about the Kings’ defense, but doesn’t good defense start with an efficient offense that stresses ball movement and unselfish play?

• The Kings’ Isaiah Thomas is averaging nearly 20 points a game, but do you really want your point guard taking 20 shots per game, as he has in four of the last six games – all losses?

• LeBron James and Kevin Durant had nearly identical point totals when they played Wednesday, so doesn’t the Thunder’s 17-point victory in Miami say something about the Heat’s aging roster?

• If Urijah Faber loses to bantamweight champion Renan Barao tonight during UFC 169 in New Jersey, will he hang up his gloves?
