AT CELTICS (17-33)
• Time: 4:30 p.m.
• Where: TD Garden, Boston
• TV/radio: CSNCA, 1140, 950
• 1. In the 20s: The Kings are 4-2 when DeMarcus Cousins, Rudy Gay and Isaiah Thomas each score at least 20 points. Of the three, Cousins probably has the biggest advantage against his Boston counterpart, so look for Cousins to score and facilitate for his teammates.
• 2. Improved health: The Celtics are seeing signs that Rajon Rondo is regaining his form in his comeback from knee surgery. Rondo had 11 assists in Wednesdays win over Philadelphia. The Kings need Marcus Thornton (bruised right hip/bruised left knee) and Derrick Williams (strained left foot) to have the best chance of winning. Both are listed as day-to-day.
• 3. Defensive mindset: The Kings have held two of their past three opponents to fewer than 100 points. The third, Toronto, scored 101 points. If the Kings can control the Celtics Rondo, Avery Bradley and Jeff Green, it would continue one of the Kings better stretches of defense this season.
