Marcus Thornton is back in the starting lineup after sitting out the Kings’ last game with a bruised right hip and a bruised left knee.

Rudy Gay and Marcus Thornton are both in the starting lineup for today’s game against the Washington Wizards at Verizon Center.

Gay missed Friday’s game at Boston due to illness. Gay was also held out of Saturday’s practice.

Thornton didn’t play at Boston after bruising his right hip and left knee last Wednesday against Toronto.

“We’ll have all 13 bodies available which is always a positive,” said Kings coach Michael Malone.

*Malone said limiting turnovers and not allowing the game to become an up-and-down game is key.

That means being careful around John Wall, who has had six steals in a game twice this season. Trevor Ariza also has a six-steal game this season.

Prediction time: DeMarcus Cousins is still not happy about not making the All-Star team. And this is a game the Kings actually want to slow down (just a little bit) to keep the Wizards out of transition.

Plus, the Wizards like the Kings, have had a habit of showing their worst against teams with bad records.

Kings 104, Wizards 100

My record: 30-20
