Capitol Corridor trains between Sacramento and the Bay Area were delayed– sometimes more than an hour– by a track signal outage near Martinez, train service officials report in a series of email alerts to riders.

Train officials said crews were working Tuesday morning on the track signal malfunction, and say they hoped to have the problem fixed soon. Riders are asked to check with the Capitol Corridor call center, at 1-877-974-3322, to determine the status of trains today.

Trains delayed this morning included the 524, 529, 526, 531, 546 and 549 routes.
