Re "School let girl wander off, say parents" (Our Region, Feb. 11): Has discipline become too much for teachers now?
This particular teacher dragged the child in her chair outside. Was that really necessary? Have we lost the ability to actually communicate to another person?
You cannot get angry with someone, especially a child, and drag them outside without talking to and explaining to them why they are being punished.
I would assume these teachers are being properly trained to discipline. The child accidentally knocked over a glass of water. What else would you expect from a 7-year-old? If you cannot control your anger and frustration with a child and or the situation, please do not become a grade school teacher.
