The Affordable Care Act is making real, substantial changes in peoples' lives, changes for the better.
It is astonishing how many people have been convinced by media campaigns that demonize the act. In reality, this law will improve the lives of millions of working and middle class people. The Affordable Care Act is a step in the right direction but it does not go far enough.
Profiteers need to be regulated. As long as chief executive officers can line their pockets with millions of dollars while basic health care remains out of reach for many families with two parents working full time, we will suffer from the consequences of bad health. As long as becoming ill with a serious disease like cancer can lead to bankruptcy, we have a problem that needs to be solved.
