Was anyone ever caught and convicted in the March 2012 killing of Sebastian Gutierrez?

– Teresa, Sacramento

No arrests have been reported in the slaying of 31-year-old Sebastian Gutierrez in Sacramento’s Parkway neighborhood on March 12, 2012.

According to stories in The Bee, Sacramento police received a report of a shooting about 11 p.m. at Roy Nielsen Park at Center Parkway and St. Luke’s Way. They arrived to find Gutierrez with a gunshot wound to the upper torso. He died at the scene.

Witnesses told officers that they had seen Gutierrez in a dispute with a small group of men before the shooting. Police said the suspects were last seen driving away in a 1995 or 1996 dark-colored Buick with a primer-colored front right fender and a front right headlight that was pointing upward.
