Re "A prescription to prepare for drought" (Viewpoints, Feb. 14):
Steve Fleischli points out that our cities must harvest rainwater and replenish groundwater. I would suggest that we find additional ways to raise the water table. Why not build a number of small dams below the snow line to hold runoff water until it can seep into the ground? Holes could be drilled to help the flow. A well in reverse. A study of the geology would find proper locations. Perhaps even locate underground drivers to feed into.
