Re "Restaurant review just mean" (Letters, Feb. 18): In response to letter writer Steve Liddick's suggestion that Blair Anthony Robertson should limit himself to complimentary reviews, that would be called advertising.
Robertson may have more sophisticated tastes and hold restaurants to a higher standard than would I. But I enjoy and applaud his candor. It is refreshing to read a column where the reviewer calls it as he sees it, rather than pandering to potential advertisers.
I have regularly clipped and saved his reviews for years, both negative and positive. The positive reviews greatly outnumber the negative, making the negative reviews all the more balanced in my opinion.
