VS. WARRIORS (31-22)
• Time: 7 p.m.
• Where: Sleep Train Arena
• TV/radio: CSNCA, 1140, 680
• 1. Force their hand: Stephen Curry had a game-high 36 points and the winning free throws when these teams last met Dec. 1. Curry will get his points, but at some point the Kings must force his teammates to beat them. They also might try a different defensive tact with a longer defender on Curry than Isaiah Thomas, against whom the taller Curry can get his shot off too easily.
• 2. Fill the gap: With center DeMarcus Cousins (hip flexor) likely out, the Kings will need other contributors to help mitigate the absence of their top scorer and rebounder. Minutes may fall to Aaron Gray, who has the size to match Warriors 7-foot center Andrew Bogut.
• 3. Find the line: One area where the Kings edge the Warriors: free-throw shooting, where Golden State ranks a surprising 22nd in shooting percentage. The Kings, meanwhile, rank seventh and average the fourth-most attempts in the NBA, so they may benefit from being aggressive around the basket.
