Arrest of four young men might have solved Roseville, Sacramento booze thefts, cops say

Published: Friday, Feb. 21, 2014 - 8:05 am

Authorities may have solved a spate of liquor thefts with the arrest of four young men and confiscation of $2,500 worth of booze from their vehicle.

Roseville police said that at about 10:40 p.m. Monday a group of young men entered a grocery store in the 5000 block of Foothills Boulevard and took several bottles of liquor, pushing aside a store employee in the process.

About two hours later, Sacramento police stopped a vehicle in the Natomas area. Officers connected the men in the vehicle to recent shoplifting of liquor from stores in Sacramento and Roseville, also finding the significant amount of liquor in the car.

Two adults, 20 and 18 years old, and two teens, both 17, from Sacramento and Antelope were arrested on suspicion of robbery and burglary - going into the stores with the intent to steal.
