Kings game plan: vs. Boston Celtics

TODAY’S GAME

KINGS (18-36)

VS. CELTICS (19-37)

Time: 7 p.m.

Where: Sleep Train Arena

TV/radio: CSNCA, NBA TV, 1140, 950

THREE KEYS

1. Passing offense: After the Kings tallied only 13 assists in Wednesday’s loss to Golden State, coach Michael Malone wants more ball movement. Rather than settle for the first shot, Sacramento must pass more to get the best shot.

2. Increased tempo: The Kings have lost four of their past five games, failing to score at least 100 points in each loss. A faster pace would give them more chances to score.

3. Physical presence: Sacramento lost at Boston on Feb. 7, when the Celtics outhustled the Kings for rebounds and loose balls. Sacramento can’t be outworked by Boston, which is playing the second of back-to-back games, and expect to win.
