Kings center DeMarcus Cousins had 13 points, seven rebounds and six turnovers in Sacramentos 105-98 win over the Boston Celtics Saturday at Sleep Train Arena.
Cousins was playing his first game since straining his left hip flexor Feb. 12 at New York. Cousins said after the win his hip was sore and that he had to stretch it during the game when it tightened up.
Just even driving past somebody was tough, Cousins said. Running up the floor was tough. Well see how I feel in the morning.
The Kings are 0-8 this season without Cousins.
*Kings picked up his 13th technical foul of the season in the second quarter after he and Bostons Kris Humphries just couldnt get along on the court.
Cousins is tied with Blake Griffin or the league lead and is one three technical fouls away from an automatic one-game suspension.
Cousins was lucky not to pick up his 14th in the second half when he shoved Humphries, who had just been called for a blocking foul.
Cousins was not in the mood to discuss Humphries, who clearly made it his job to irritate Cousins.
Who is he? Cousins said. Next question. Im not going to give him any attention, just next question.
