Sacramento’s Track 7 Brewing Co., which opened in late 2011 and has since expanded at 3747 W. Pacific Ave., has signed its first distribution agreement with Markstein Beverage Co., also based in Sacramento.
The deal provides a single point of distribution for Sacramento, Solano, eastern Yolo, Yuba, Sutter and Napa counties. Track 7 noted that it will continue to self-distribute its products outside of these counties.
Besides adding square footage, Track 7 has grown from 340 barrels of beer in its initial year to nearly 1,200 barrels in 2013.
Track 7 said the new distribution agreement will enable it to focus on producing craft beer and manage its growth and capital reinvestment during 2014.
“Track 7 brews a consistently quality product and will be a great addition to our craft beer portfolio,” said Jim Janus, vice president and general manager of Markstein.
Track 7 is among a cluster of businesses entering the growing Sacramento-area microbrewer market in the past several years. Since its 2011 start, Track 7 staffing has grown from four to 13.
